Education is about nurturing the whole child. A human being is incomplete if there is no emotional growth along with physical and intellectual growth. Emotional growth is possible only when the child is given a secure environment conducive to learning.
Very often young children become highly anxious when separated from their Parents. Bearing the best interest of the child in mind, Chettinad Had Shree Vidyalayam initiated the Parent Programme for the Mother / Father of the Pre-Primary 1 child. The parents are given the opportunity to stay with their child in school for the initial days, till the child is comfortable with the new environment. Initially the programme was planned and executed for 6 months. In view of the practical challenges faced by working parents, expectant mothers and mothers with a toddler to care for at home, the programme has been curtailed and is now being offered for only 4 weeks.
Since its implementation, ten years back, the feedback from both parents and facilitators has been very encouraging. Children settle down with ease into the school routine comforted by the thought that their mother /father is around. By the end of the programme, the parents, as a community, become a part of Chettinad Had Shree Vidyalayam family, thus bringing the school and parents together in our collaborative effort in educating the child.

In addition to the above. Special Educators and Guest Speakers will share their knowledge in the session to help the parents maximize their involvement in the developmental process of the child.
We understand that our child's photograph may be used for educational training, commercial, and / or promotional purposes relating to school's activities and we have no objection towards this.
We hereby permit our child's participation in class field trips/ seminars/ competitions in the immediate vicinity of 5kms within school hours.
We fully understand such opportunities may be sudden and the school may not be able to provide prior information in all instances. We agree to abide by the school's decision in the choice of participation of our child in the same.
The school does not recognise any informal group, physical or virtual, or group representatives nor are there any parent volunteers/representatives appointed for the classes.
The school has forums with specific objectives which provide direct access for anything parents wish to discuss regarding their child's learning and development.
We understand that any information presented in informal groups cannot be considered as official information from the school.
Please note that school fee is non-refundable. The term fee must be paid by the date set by the school. Nonpayment of term fee by the due date would result in late fee as per school management and the term fee policy
